The Fine Line Between Insanity and Success

" If insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, then success is defined as doing the same thing over and over and expecting the same results." -- Bob Reish
There is a fine line between insanity and success. The difference is our expectations. What we expect is the difference in what we achieve. The key is the consistency of our actions. The issue is not the consistency in what we do, it is what we expect as an outcome. If we desire an outcome our actions are not producing, then we often experience frustration and anxiety. If we desire an outcome in which our actions consistently produce, success is achieved.
When we cease to experience success, it if often due to the expectation of a different result. We need to consistently measure our results to align with our expectations. When our expectations are not aligned with the results we expect, we will experience frustration and anxiety. Use frustrations and anxieties alert us as an alarm. Listen to the alarm and respond by analyzing how our actions are in line with our expectations. Often when frustrations and anxieties present themselves, we often respond expecting different results. Instead of expecting different results, align our actions with the results we desire
A great tool to align our expectations with our actions is K.W.I.N.K. Knowing What I Now Know creates three questions:
1. Knowing what I now know, should I have started?
2. Knowing what I now know, should I continue?
3. Knowing what I now know, should I stop?
Asking these three powerful questions creates clarity to allow us to align our actions with our desired outcomes. When our actions are aligned with our expectations, success results. When our actions are not aligned with our expectations, insanity results.
